Germany warns against banning energy imports from Russia, Economy Minister opposes an embargo on Russian fossil fuels imports
On Thursday, March 3, 2022, Economy Minister for Germany Robert Habeck, said he opposes an embargo on Russian imports of fossil fuels, warning that the "social cohesion" in Germany could be at risk.
German Economy Minister Robert Habeck warned that a shortage in the supply of fossil fuels could threaten social cohesion in Germany.
After meeting with German business leaders, Habeck said, "I would not advocate an embargo on Russian imports of fossil fuels. I would even oppose it,".
Adding, "We need these energy supplies to maintain the price stability and energy security in Germany,".
However, Habeck noted that Germany “must free ourselves” from having to import Russian gas, coal, and oil.
“That means efficiency, reduction of consumption, if possible. And all citizens can contribute to that, by the way, right now. If you want to hurt Putin a bit, then save energy.”
While discussing the issue, Habeck slammed nuclear energy saying “I think nuclear is the wrong energy for value-driven reasons.”
In February 2022, Germany halted the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline project and joined other European nations in sanctioning Russia over the invasion of Ukraine.
Economy Minister Habeck says that in this short period of time since halting the natural gas project and introducing sanctions, Germany has felt the effects in a “strong” way.
"The impact of the sanctions and of the war on all sectors of the economy is so strong that we can fear a big impact,"
He also believes that his hope for recovery after the pandemic is off of the table due to the “consequences of war”, Deutsche Welle reports.
"We had hoped that we will experience an upswing this spring, a recovery phase. But now we have the consequences of the war,"
On July 21, 2021, the Quebec government refused to approve the construction of a liquified natural gas (LNG) facility that would have carried natural gas from Western Canada to Eastern Canada to be exported to Europe and Asia.
The proposed project was to be built in Saguenay, Quebec but Quebec Minister Benoit Charette killed the project because the CAQ government did not believe the project would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and that the project would discourage European and Asian countries from investing in and moving to ‘cleaner’ energy sources.
“The promoter has not succeeded in demonstrating this. This is a project that has more disadvantages than advantages,” Minister Charette said in July 2021.
How about……………..instead of social cohesion, Germany is worried about riots when the lights and heat go out!!!? Etc. Self suicide does have consequences.
I do hope everyone is hip to the obvious: Those instigating these world "affairs" are hellbent on reordering your life, the type and amount of energy you use, the limits of freedom you will have, and the reduced choices you will get, moving forward. These theatrics—the most recent is the well-timed Russian invasion—are staged in an exacting order and on a precise timetable designed to produce and sustain constant stress, anxiety, depression, and detachment. These are the devastating emotions that the Global Elite are ordering upon you to soften you up to eventual concession, surrender, and obedience. The world's "problems" can be eliminated in one short week if the head of the snake was lopped off. That "head" comprises only a handful of evildoers. Most know who they are and where they are. That some group hasn't yet taken action is rather unbelievable. Once the Global Elite are eliminated, there won't be chaos but peace.
